 میں نے کچھ وقت جامعۃ الرشید میں گزارا ہے ۔  اُس وقت وہاں پر لائبریری کا ایک بہت ہی مضبوط نظام تھا ۔ بالخصوص ہر نیا رسالہ لائبریری میں آیا کرتا تھا ۔ ضرب مومن اور دیگر رسائل کے مجموعہ بھی وہاں پر رکھے ہوئے ہوتے تھے ۔  سارا دن طلبائے کرام کو ایک لمحہ کی بھی فرصت نہیں ہوتی تھی ۔ البتہ رات کو ساڑھے گیارہ بجے کے بعد لائبریری جانے کا وقت ملتا تھا ۔ اُس وقت اکثر بچے تپائی پر سر مار رہے ہوتے تھے اور ساتھ ہی پڑھ بھی رہے ہوتے تھے ۔ یہ اُنکا ذوق تھا کہ دن بھر کی تھکن کے بعد وہ اپنی مرضی سے لائبریری میں آیا کرتے تھے ۔  البتہ ایک اور شوق دلانے والی بات یہ بھی یاد ہے کہ اکثر ہماری درسگاہ میں استاذ محترم کوئی سوال ذمہ لگایا کرتے تھے کہ سبق سے متعلق یہ سوال ہے اِسکو حل کرکے لانا ۔ لائق اور ذہین لڑکے بھی اسکو حل نہ کرپاتے ۔ تو تین یا چار دن کے بعد استاذ محترم فرماتے کہ لائبریری کی فلاں کتاب میں فلاں صفحہ نمبر پر اسکا حل موجود ہے ۔ اس طرح کتاب کا تعارف بھی ہوجاتا اور رات کو علم کے پیاسے لائبریری پہنچ جایا کرتے تھے ۔  مجھے نحو کی کتاب "المغنی" کا تعارف اسی طرح ہوا تھا ۔ بلکہ ایک ...
